FAQ
When should I book?
You can book this session at any time during your journey in parenthood. I recommend booking at least 1 month in advance to ensure availability, especially in the summer months. Weekend slots get filled up quickly and are limited.
Can all the family join in?
This session is ideal for 2 adults and up to 4 children. For extended family please contact me for details and further information as this will include additional charges due to time and the nature of photographing more people.
How do I prepare for my maternity session?
Upon booking we will have an initial consultation and discuss all the details of your photography session. Each maternity photography experience is unique and tailored to you. I will send you a guide which covers everything you need to know and what to expect.
When will I receive my images?
My turn around time for images is 3 weeks from the date of your photoshoot. You will receive your hand edited gallery via email.
Do you require a deposit?
I request a £50 non refundable deposit to secure your session with me. The remaining payment is due 48 hours before your scheduled session.
How should we dress for our maternity session?
To get the best out of your photos I recommend neutral, earthy or muted colours as these are timeless and keep the focus on your family. The most important thing is for you to feel comfortable. When you book I will send you a detailed guide for styling.
You will have access to my client wardrobe with beautiful maternity gowns, dresses and skirts.
We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?
Yes! I specialise in lifestyle photography which means that I capture natural moments. I offer gentle posing suggestions to guide you through the photoshoot. Posing for photos can feel a bit awkward at first, but don’t worry I will make you as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
My house isn't perfect, does that matter?
Not at all! It doesn't matter if your house isn't tidy, you've have little ones nobody expects a perfect home. I work in the rooms with the best natural light ideally near a window. All we need to do is to declutter in the areas where we will be taking photos. These sessions aren't about perfection, its about meeting you where you're at in parenthood and documenting the real, raw emotions of your families story.
Where can I have my maternity photoshoot?
The most requested locations are in the comfort of your own home, forest or the beach. I have a list of my most popular locations which will be shared with you upon booking. If you have a place in mind we can discuss this in our consultation. I service Lytham in Lancashire and the surrounding areas.
What areas do you cover?
